I bought two of these for pistol and carbine training courses and they have preformed excellently. They look excellent, in Wolf Gray, and are made very well. Heavy duty nylon and a good diameter shock cord hold it all together. It comes tight, and I saw no reason to adjust it. Both pistol and rifle pouches have a high degree of retention, which can be adjusted by tightening / loosing the shock cord. I didn't do any adjustment from how they came and i can see no way the a mag would "drop out" or be flung out in any circumstances, and yes I tried to dislodge it. I do think that it would be possible if you really loosed it up, but I don't see someone loosing it up that much.My boyfriend wanted this so I bought it for him. But he used it recently in his first competition shoot, and he got 13 out of 22, he did better than some of the old guys and they even complemented him on fast he could reload. It looked like good quality and is fictional!I do like these holsters but there are several issues with them. First the retention is awesome but putting them on using the straps takes forever. If you don't have the cords tight enough, if the mag gets caught on something then it will rip out. Lastly, I carry a 1911 on duty. For some reason when putting my mags in the holster, it pops the first round off unless im careful. At least when I pull them out, a round doesn't pop out. Bottom line, decent mags but undecided if I'll buy againGood pouches and product, I'm very excited to try it out. But, no mollie clips/straps came with the pouches, so I have no way to attach the pouches to my platform. I don't understand why I paid so much money for a pouch that I can't even use until I make a separate purchase of straps. At the least just mention in the product description that attaching straps are not included, which still doesn't make sense to me.I purchased two of these for my duty belt. I loved the idea of being able to carry different magazines. However my pistol magazines have fallen out at least a half dozen times from wrestling with a prisoner to the seat belt pulling it out. I've tried to use some elastic cord over the top to help secure. That hasn't helped much. I hate I spent so much on two and it just isn't secure enough.I love it but the belt loop does not last with daily wearWorks very well, I have used these mag holders for some local shooting events that require mag changes and this piece of equipment works well and never slows me down. Holds mag securely and they come out easy enough if you have a good grip on them. Durable and well made. I have used it with various magazines, it certainly works very well for 30 round AR mags and 9mm double stack magazines.Quality.I purchase two of the belt version in gray and black for competition a year ago. Low profile, hugs the hip. Create for quick reloading. I use a rocking motion to put a mag into the mag pouch. The black "disappeared". Son believes he may have it (he does). So does that make it 5 Stars x 2 ?
